STUDIO EDITION

Michel de Klerk, 'Het Schip', 1920. Noordgevel

Designed by Michel de Klerk, 'Het Schip' in Amsterdam is one of the finest examples of the Amsterdam School movement. Its expressive brickwork, sculptural forms and unusual details make it a remarkable piece of architecture. In this drawing, I’ve focused on the building’s distinctive geometry and the interplay of its many shapes and surfaces.

All prints are presented on Hahnemühle German Etching Giclée paper.
